NCBI Description of TRNT1

The CCA-adding enzyme TRNT1 (EC is an essential enzyme that catalyzes the addition of the CCA terminus to the 3-prime end of tRNA precursors. This reaction is a fundamental prerequisite for mature tRNAs to become aminoacylated and to participate in protein biosynthesis (Lizano et al., 2007 [PubMed 17204286]).[supplied by OMIM, Aug 2009].

• "Mouse over" a mutation to see details.
• Missense green saturation indicates evolutionary conservation of the mutated positions.
• Red hashes in protein strip are splice sites.
• Blue-white-red bars are log2 copy ratio distributions (–1 to +1) from Zack et al. (2013).
