NCBI Description of PCSK4

This gene encodes a member of the subtilisin-like proprotein convertase family. These enzymes process latent precursor proteins into their biologically active products. The encoded protein plays a critical role in reproduction and processes multiple prohormones including pro-pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating protein (proPACAP) and pro-insulin-like growth factor II.

• "Mouse over" a mutation to see details.
• Missense green saturation indicates evolutionary conservation of the mutated positions.
• Red hashes in protein strip are splice sites.
• Blue-white-red bars are log2 copy ratio distributions (–1 to +1) from Zack et al. (2013).
