NCBI Description of OXCT2

OXCT2 is a testis-specific succinyl-CoA:3-oxoacid CoA transferase (EC 2.8.3.5), which catalyzes the reversible transfer of CoA from succinyl-CoA to acetoacetate in the first step of ketone body utilization. See also OXCT1 (MIM 601424).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008].

• "Mouse over" a mutation to see details.
• Missense green saturation indicates evolutionary conservation of the mutated positions.
• Red hashes in protein strip are splice sites.
• Blue-white-red bars are log2 copy ratio distributions (–1 to +1) from Zack et al. (2013).
