NCBI Description of LUZP4

This gene encodes a protein which contains two sets of heptad repeats in the N-terminus; the C-terminal most repeats form a leucine zipper domain. The presence of a leucine zipper domain suggests the protein may have DNA-binding activity and the protein has been shown to localize with a spliceosome protein (PMID: 12032826).

• "Mouse over" a mutation to see details.
• Missense green saturation indicates evolutionary conservation of the mutated positions.
• Red hashes in protein strip are splice sites.
• Blue-white-red bars are log2 copy ratio distributions (–1 to +1) from Zack et al. (2013).
