NCBI Description of LRP1B

LRP1B belongs to the low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor gene family. These receptors play a wide variety of roles in normal cell function and development due to their interactions with multiple ligands (Liu et al., 2001 [PubMed 11384978]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]. Sequence Note: A downstream AUG is annotated as the start codon because, as with the mouse homolog, extension of the 5' boundary of the CDS to an upstream AUG would eradicate the signal peptide for this receptor protein.

Figure notes

• "Mouse over" a mutation to see details.
• Missense green saturation indicates evolutionary conservation of the mutated positions.
• Red hashes in protein strip are splice sites.
• Blue-white-red bars are log2 copy ratio distributions (–1 to +1) from Zack et al. (2013).
