NCBI Description of DIXDC1

The protein encoded by this gene is a positive regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway and interacts with AXIN1, DVL2, and MAP3K1. The encoded protein is found associated with gamma tubulin at the centrosome. Three transcript variants, two protein-coding and the other non-protein coding, have been found for this gene. The longer isoform also associates with actin stress fibers while the shorter isoform does not.
